Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated psychologist to join our growing team on a part-time contract basis. This role is ideal for a clinician who has experience working with trauma, ADHD, and adults in mid-life who are navigating complex life demands. There is potential for growth in caseload over time.

Areas of Focus

The ideal candidate has experience supporting clients with:

• Trauma and PTSD (specialized training an asset)
• ADHD
• Workplace stress and burnout including Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) cases
• Mid-life transitions and identity shifts
• Parenting challenges
• Relationship and interpersonal concerns (couples counselling experience an asset)

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counselling to adult clients (in-person on Thursdays and virtually as your schedule permits)
• Availability to grow caseload to work one evening or one weekend day an asset
• Collaborate with the practice team as needed for case consultation
• Excellent organization and communication skills (oral and written)
• Strong ability to work independently while demonstrating excellent time management skills.
• Experience with clinic management software (Jane) an asset
• Engages in frequent self-reflection, consultation, and has done your own work through therapy or other means
• Ability to offer complimentary 15-min phone consultations to prospective clients to determine fit

Qualifications

• Registration as a Psychologist who is in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists
• Strong clinical experience working with trauma and training in a trauma processing modality an asset (e.g. EMDR, ART, PE, IFS)
• Experience working with adult populations, particularly mid-life clients
• Competency in working with ADHD presentations in adults
• Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Clinical experience working in a private practice setting an asset
